Most people, even if they are not cannabis consumers, know about 4/20, the unofficial holiday celebrating the consumption of marijuana, but you may not know about 7/10. 7/10 has been dubbed “Dab Day,” and it celebrates specifically marijuana concentrates. Concentrate sales steadily rise coming up to July 10th, with concentrate sales increasing 67.4% and rosin sales increasing 213% (Maravelias). Gen Z and Millennial men make up the largest portion of the concentrated market at 26% (Maravelias).
While this holiday is not as widespread as 4/20, some dispensaries are taking advantage of 7/10 for advertising. Jason Berkenstock, the CEO of C3 Industries thinks “every cannabis retailer needs to take advantage of [7/10]” (Maravelias). Also, dispensaries take this day as an opportunity to educate the public on concentrates, including what is available to them and what would be the best starting point for novices.
