Play Your Next Dreidel Game With This Cannabis Infused Chocolate Gelt
Happy night one of Hanukkah to all that celebrate! Tonight is one of eight nights that we celebrate this Jewish holiday full of getting together with family to practice the traditions and receiving fun gifts. Today, I am going to tell you how you can converge cannabis and Hanukkah with this cannabis infused gelt!
For those who are not familiar with gelt, it is a chocolate coin wrapped in gold foil that is given to people as a dessert or is used in the traditional Jewish game, Dreidel. Now that we know one term, let’s get familiar with the other. A Dreidel is a four sided spinning top with Hebrew letters on each side. The Dreidel game is when you place chocolate gelt in the middle and spin the Dreidel to see which letter you land on. Depending on the letter, you either give or receive the chocolate gelt from the middle. Ok, now let’s get to the cannabis infused gelt recipe that you can use in your next game of Dreidel.
Leafly provides an easy and informational recipe to make this chocolate:
The ingredients that you will need are cannabis infused dark chocolate, non-infused dark chocolate, 2 mini muffin pans, and gold foil.
To start off, you will chop up the chocolate and place it on top of a double boiler pot over simmering water. Once the chocolate is fully heated, you will place spoonfuls of the chocolate into mini muffin pans. Next, you will place the muffin pans into the refrigerator for at least 15 minutes or until the chocolate has fully cooled. Then, you will take the chocolate out of the refrigerator, turn the pans upside down, and let the chocolate coins fall out onto a surface.
For the final and most exciting step, you will grab your gold foil and wrap each chocolate coin in the foil and you have yourself some cannabis infused gelt to eat and use at your next game of Dreidel!
If you are up for a challenge – you can even use a toothpick to draw Jewish stars or Menorahs in your gelt before putting it in the refrigerator, or you can use a mold to press it into the chocolate (as most gelt does have some type of Jewish symbol in the middle).
Happy Hanukkah on behalf of all of us at Cannabis Talk 101 and we hope you enjoy your cannabis gelt and Dreidel game!
