On Tuesday the 3rd of May 2022, Penny Feucht from Racine Wisconsin was arrested in Wagoner Oklahoma with approximately 105 pounds of Marijuana in their possession.

Feucht was first pulled over for a traffic stop but then according to WISN 12 News, “An investigation determined the SUV’s registration was expired”, and “as a deputy spoke to Feucht, he reported a strong odor of marijuana coming from her vehicle” (May 5th, 2022). A K-9 search took place where the Marijuana was discovered and Feucht was arrested. Currently, the use of Medical Cannabis is legal in Oklahoma but recreational use still remains illegal. Reports show that Feucht was not in possession of an Oklahoma Medical Marijuana Card.

Currently, Feucht’s motives are unknown, but according to NORML, Oklahoma Cannabis laws dictate that possession of any amount of cannabis can be penalized with a year of prison at most and a 1000 dollar fine. The outcome will be different if Feucht intended to sell or distribute but that is still unknown.
