Young Woman Found with Marijuana and $100,000 in Cash

Ashtyn Hale, 29, has just been sentenced to two years in prison and five years of probation, for possession with an intent to distribute marijuana. She had two associates who were sentenced earlier this year. They had a distribution operation at a house in Winnebago, Illinois. At this home, officers found a total of $100,000, as well as different types of marijuana (Mueller). Law enforcement officers found unprocessed marijuana, edibles and waxes, to name a few items.
Officers were tipped off to the operation by neighbors who saw “suspious” deliveries to the home (Mueller). After getting a warrant, officers found a starting amount of $40,000 and ledgers which indicate marijuana sales (Mueller). This was the starting off point, and officers then search the home of the person who sent packages to Hale’s home in Winnebago, which yielded another $60,000 dollars and marijuana products (Mueller).
