HISTORY OF 420
With one of the most famous events coming up around the world. How did 420 occur and what led to its success. We know a lot of people are not shy when it comes to smoking Marijuana, but We want to give you the history and educate on how it made it to what it is today. For some time there have been rumors about 420. Rumors like getting it based on Adolf Hitlers birthday or famous country singer Bob Dylan album order which divides into 420.
These intense rumors are totally opposite from the truth. What if we told you it all started with five teenagers in the 1970’s. These teenagers hung out at a spot at San Rafael School and called themselves the Waldos. These teenagers knew a Coast Guard member who planted cannabis plants which gave them access to marijuana. According to Brynn Holland, the group would meet at the Louis Pasteur statue outside their high school at least once a week to conduct a search. Their meeting time? 4:20 p.m, after practice (they were all athletes). The Waldos would pile into a car, smoke some pot and scour the nearby Point Reyes Forest for the elusive, free herb.”
Now that we know the term 420 was started from The Waldos. It’s very interesting how it was all about a meet up spot. From becoming a secret time, who knew it would lead to the success it has today.
