A new recreational marijuana dispensary is expected to open in Whitehall Michigan by Spring 2022. Dispensary New Standard is hoping to open a new medical marijuana store on Colby Street, this is also where the company had been previously planning a marijuana provisionary.
Whitehall has joined other counties in Michigan in approving recreational marijuana sales that include Dalton Township and Muskegon Township.
According to the Whitehall zoning ordinance, dispensaries cannot be within 1,000 feet from each other or within 500 feet of a school or church. New Standard is currently in the process of acquiring a state and local license that would then allow the company to fully open in Whitehall.
