Sin City Goes to SoHo: Robert Frey’s Open Love Letter
Lately, everything and anything has been getting its own museum or walkthrough experience. The Office Show has one, Van Gogh’s got his own put on by Meow Wolf, even potatoes are represented, so why not cannabis? Well, don’t fret, Las Vegas’ very own Robert Frey has the perfect solution.
Robert Frey is a former Las Vegas nightclub manager, working with popular nightlife spots like Pure and Pussycat Dolls Lounge. Frey grew up in Vegas and has always seemed to be heavily involved with the Strip, having worked at Caesars Palace as a coffee cart manager. It wasn’t until the early 2000’s, he started opening clubs in and around the Strip. Pure, once located in Caesars Palace, had gone on to be his first big success, earning him the title of Nightlife King. Pure was Frey’s full circle moment. The well received nightclub had become one of the nations top rated clubs and had played host to many celebrity celebrations through the years. Pure also happened to be one of the most expensive nightclubs back in 2007, racking up a measly $14 million at the time of creation. So who better than Frey to open one the biggest Cannabis museums of all time?
The King of Nightlife, has recently signed a 10-year contract, leasing out the historic 427 SoHo Building in Broadway, New York. All in the name of creation; one of the most loving dedications to cannabis of all time, a museum. It will arguably be a bit different than a Las Vegas nightclub, but Frey is the perfect man for the job.
The iconic SoHo Building has 5 stories and is about 3,100 square feet. It is located in the heart of one of the most dynamic districts in New York, making it the perfect location.
So get ready, because this fall you’ll be able to experience cannabis in a whole new way! Not only will there be super high-tech exhibits dedicated to cannabis, but the museum will also work to feature lectures on social issues and cannabis reform. However, the museum will not be selling any THC or CBD products and will mainly be focusing on establishing itself as an educational dive into the world of cannabis.
Start planning your trip people, Robert Frey hasn’t let Sin City down and most likely won’t let the Big Apple either!
