Cannabis Benefits in Makeup

Read Time:2 Minute, 12 Second

Over the recent years, we’ve been seeing a rise in surprisingly advanced makeup. Big name brands have been working to implement new technologies and ingredients to get their makeup to the next level. Although CBD isn’t all that new when it comes to makeup, Milani has been one of the most recent big name brands to do it.

Recently, Milani has just announced their newest line of CBD infused skincare and makeup with Green Goddess. They now offer CBD infused products anywhere from sleeping masks to lip balms, which have been well received. Milani’s Green Goddess Glow Oil has a 5 star review on their website and is mainly Sativa based. It benefits from cannabis by providing hydration and glow for its users and calms itself to be, “The perfect first step in makeup prep.” Another popular product from their new line is their Green Goddess Makeup Melter Cleansing Balm with a 4.5 star review. This product is also Sativa based and helps to provide oils that remove makeup and leave you feeling hydrated.

Although Milani isn’t the first brand to bring us CBD infused products. Recently many brands have been working on their own lines to create high quality products, which is a smart move. CBD does not have any psychoactive effects which allows it to be used as an ingredient in makeup. CBD has many natural properties and when used in makeup, it can have anti-aging properties, antioxidants and can be extremely hydrating.

Over the recent years, the CBD market has been rapidly growing, making waves in the cosmetic industry. It is believed to have a 45% growth in North America, and is estimated to generate 3.07 billion within the next 5 year (Technavio). So maybe invest in these stocks? Totally kidding, I’m not a financial advisor. Point is, CBD has been finding its way into everyday life by being infused in these products and it’s incredible to see how much potential this industry has.

Big name brands, such as Milani, value the natural abilities CBD has and have been using them to get their customers what they need and want from their cosmetics in the form of top quantity products. I won’t be surprised when we start seeing more of these big brands take similar steps to infuse cannabis into their arsenal of products and not just in high end stores. Target now also carries these Green Goddess products, which is cool to see! It just goes to prove the strides we are making in cannabis reform!
